Tony Lomax is head of medical physics at the Centre for Proton therapy, PSI and a titular professor of the Physics Department, ETH. He is the author or co-author of over 230 peer reviewed papers and has research interests in treatment planning, uncertainty in treatment delivery and effects of organ motion for dynamic radiotherapy.

Dr Michael Taylor is a lecturer in proton therapy physics working with the PRECISE research group at the University of Manchester and the Chrisite NHS Foundation Trust. He obtained a first class honours degree in physics and mathematics and a PhD in nuclear experimental nuclear physics from the University of Liverpool. Following post-doctoral positions at Rutgers University in the USA, Brighton, York and Manchester in the UK he took up his current position in April 2015. He has over 50 peer-reviewed, high impact journal publications including two nature articles, seven letters and four instrumentation and methods articles as well as being a contributing author to the ``Design and Shielding of Radiotherapy Treatment Facilities`` IPEM Report 75.
He has vast expertise in monte-carlo radiation transport calculations and he is currently a member of the international Geant4 collaboration in the hadronic models working group.

Professor Karen Kirkby leads research in PBT and FLASH between University of Manchester and The Christie. Her group numbers ~40 people. She also leads https://protonsinspire.eu/. Karen has a research grant portfolio of over £28M from a range of funders, charities and industry. She has over 200 publications, including Nature. Karen writes for popular science magazines and is engaged in outreach.
